Cluster activities
Clusters are a group or network of related projects that focus on a common research theme, topic, or area and often share similar goals. Projects belonging to the same cluster can therefore face similar issues or obstacles, and discussing them together can be useful in finding solutions.
eCREAM is part of the “Innovative Tools for Electronic Health Records and Patient Registries” (InToEHR) Cluster, which comprises five European projects. The targeted collaborative efforts of the cluster involve knowledge exchange, harmonized approaches, joint workshops, and communication activities aimed at disseminating information through various products like policy briefs and reports.
The InToEHR cluster has a set of working groups and eCREAM is involved in the following working groups:
- Artificial Intelligence Technologies and Tools
- Natural Language Processing
- Models of data governance
- FAIR principles & Metadata
- Sustainability (aimed at developing business models tailored to the tools and technologies developed, identifying the challenges, and providing relevant recommendations concerning long-term sustainability and exploitation at the EU level
- Communication & dissemination
- Data curation & Data quality
eCREAM participated in a workshop in Amsterdam in 2023, together with other projects in the InToEHR cluster, as a “User community” stakeholder group identified by the HealthyCloud project in the development of a draft strategic agenda for the Health Research Innovation Cloud (HRIC) (https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.10231556).
Specific cluster activities have not yet been carried out by the members, but collaborative efforts are foreseen.
